Meet Mercedes Duncan, DMD
Dr. Mercedes Duncan, D.M.D
From a very young age, our dentist in Indian Trail, NC, Dr. Duncan, has had a strong interest and passion for the dental profession. This is due to very positive visits to her dentist while growing up.
After completing her BS (Magna Cum Laude) in Biology and minor in Chemistry, she earned her Doctorate in Dental Medicine from theUniversity of Louisville School of Dentistry in Kentucky. Dr. Duncan completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.
While at Dental School, our Indian Trail dentist, Dr. Duncan, held a leadership position as Vice President of the Forensic Dentistry Study Club and was a peer tutor for students in various subjects.
Dr. Duncan has been involved in a wide range of community services, such asECU Smile for Veterans, where dental treatment was provided for the local veteran population, and also at theBlue Ridge Dental Clinic in Cashiers, NC, to provide care for the underserved population.
Her hobbies include dancing, outdoor activities, and pilates. Dr. Duncan’s passion for dance began at age six when she began competing.
She continued on to become captain of her college dance team at Western Kentucky University, and she continues to teach and choreograph in the community.
